What about search engines?
A search engine is basically an index for the World Wide Web. Someone types in a keyword or phrase and a list is compiled of sites that might contain information they are looking for. The most visited sites on the Internet are search engines. It's where most people start when they don't have a specific place to look for information or products. Getting your website listed on the right search engines and under the right keywords will increase the traffic to your site substantially.
Search engines work in several different ways. Some use only the information you give them to sort your website. Some have special automated searchers, called Spiders, which read your site. Some use meta-tags, some use links from other sites, some are totally controlled by how much money you want to put into them. At Superb by Design, we know the tricks that will help your site rank high on search engines, and keep them there. If your site isn't listed on search engines, the true benefits of having a website for your company will never be realized.
The trick to search engine submission is being able to stay high on thier lists. If someone can't find what he or she is looking for on your website in the first few clicks of thier mouse, they will leave. Likewise, if your website isn't listed in the first 30 sites that they see when they do a search, they will use a different keyword, go to another search engine, or make due with what they can find in the top 30.
